The dazzling daring of Piaget
Because life is about more than just Haute Horlogerie, Piaget has made a name for itself as one of the world’s greatest jewellery brands thanks to the unequalled splendour of its collections. As demonstrated by Chapter 2 of Extraordinary Lights, set to be unveiled during Haute Couture week in January 2022. SoBARNES gives you a sneak peek.
Piaget’s presentation of the first chapter of Extraordinary Lights in July was applauded by the international press for the daring of its compositions. A high-end jewellery collection that celebrates light through exceptional gems. The three new sets of jewels in Chapter 2, each unique, will be officially unveiled at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week from 24 to 27 January 2022. But thanks to SoBARNES, you can see it ahead of the rest!
Let’s start with Glowing Lanterns. An exquisite white and yellow gold necklace set with a cushion-cut green tourmaline (approximately 35 carats) in a sculpted rock crystal setting. Along with a white gold ring set with a green tourmaline, baguette-cut green tourmalines and yellow and white diamonds. And lastly, white and yellow gold earrings set with green tourmalines and yellow and white diamonds and translucent chrysoprase beads. As you probably know, chrysoprase is a gemstone variety of chalcedony.
Next is Voluptuous Borealis, with a white gold necklace set with an emerald from Zambia (approximately 10 carats), a white gold ring also set with an emerald from Zambia, and earrings in the same metal. True marvels complimented by a divine white gold cuff watch set with emeralds and diamonds and a diamond paved dial.
Last comes the Celestial Ballet, a jewellery set combining a white gold necklace with a blue sapphire from Sri Lanka, a white gold ring also set with a blue sapphire from Sri Lanka, and earrings set with blue sapphires from Madagascar. Not forgetting the striking white gold ear cuff set with blue sapphires and diamonds.
A cavalcade of precious stones unearthed by Piaget’s gemmologists in the far corners of the world. But you have to admit the result is worth it:
