Ivo Galabov - BARNES Bulgaria's real estate consultant

After many years of career development and living in the United States of America, Ivo Galabov returned to Bulgaria and not long after decided to join Barnes Bulgaria team.

He completed his secondary education in Bulgaria with 2 diplomas - from English High School and "Manager of Small and Medium Enterprises" from Trade and Banking High School.

At the age of 17, he was admitted to the "Economics and Management of Trade" program at the "University of National and World Economy" in Sofia, Bulgaria. He graduated with honors in 2001.

Ivo's professional biography is varied and includes a number of management positions in marketing and sales in several high profile international and American companies.

After completing his higher education, Ivo started his career in Bulgaria, being attracted to take the position of Account Executive in the Bulgarian office of one of the top 3 advertising agencies in the world - Ogilvy & Mather. IBM, Motorola, DHL, Kraft Foods and Gillette.

Two years later, he became the new marketing director at an American technology outsourcing company based in Sofia.

But just a year later, he was invited to go to the United States of America and take a position as director of marketing and sales at a corporation, a leader in the contracting and construction business in the country, with offices in 35 states.

Thus Ivo spent 8 exciting years based in the company's corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona, filled with many trips across America, learning about the American way of life, culture and traditions.

In 2010, Ivo decided to leave his comfort zone for the second time and moved to New York City, enrolling in Manhattan's elite real estate academy, N.Y.R.E.I. (New York Real Estate Institute). There he was trained by a number of recognized experts in the fields of construction, real estate, investment entrepreneurship, and the application of the highest standard of ethical and legal standards in the work and relations with clients. The successful completion of the academy and attainment of a state license proves to be just the beginning of an exciting 12-year history.

Ivo was invited by a popular brokerage company specializing in the luxury segment of Manhattan real estate, and soon after became part of their team.

There he got the exciting opportunity to work with interesting and popular personalities in the fields of business, diplomacy, art, cinema and television. New York introduced him to people of different nationalities and cultures, helping him to truly get to know and fall in love with the diversity, culture and energy of this magnetic city.

Apart from being a preferred place to live and acquire a home of one's own, New York very soon reveals a different horizon and perception towards real estate, namely its function as an essential tool not only for capital preservation but also its multiplication.

In 2012, Ivo became a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (R.E.B.N.Y.).

For Ivo, real estate work is much more than just a business, it is the opportunity to be a meaningful part of the process of making and implementing important decisions such as buying a home or investing in real estate.

In 2022, attracted not only by the personal factor but also by the growing attractiveness and potential of the Bulgarian luxury real estate market, Ivo made the decision to return to Bulgaria. After making an investment in several properties in Sofia himself, it wasn't long before Ivo chose to continue his professional path here and join Barnes Bulgaria team.

In addition to a high level of professionalism, his work is distinguished by responsibility, dedication, loyalty and ethics. His flair and knowledge of the real estate market help him to unerringly recognize the maximum value and potential of any property, whether for a home of one's own or as an appreciating investment asset.

One of Ivo's strengths is his excellent communication, attitude and approach in dealing with clients. For Ivo, every client is special and his needs and goals are a priority.

He applies his extensive international experience and expertise in real estate to his work, holding himself to the highest possible standard in fulfilling his responsibilities to his clients.

His sociable and cheerful nature has helped him over the years to build solid long-standing relationships and even friendships with his clients.

Ivo enjoys spending his free time in the company of his friends and family, playing sports or indulging in one of his many hobbies.

He recognizes the role of sport as fundamental to his formation and development as a person. He started playing sports at an early age, and over the years he has played a number of sports: swimming, martial arts, basketball and tennis.

His other passion is art in all its forms. Some of his earliest conscious memories are associated with fine art. He was even offered direct admission to the art academy in Sofia, but Ivo chose instead to focus on economics and business. Still, fine art remains his passion, and a hobby that he sometimes uses to unwind from his busy daily life.

Last but not least is his attraction to innovative technologies and capital markets. He himself has been involved in the capital market for assets in the United States for years, as well as that for crypto assets.

Ivo believes that, apart from the inevitable, the speed of development of modern technology will lead to the most fundamental development for humanity in its history after the industrial revolution and the creation of the computer, and the internet. Therefore, in his view, awareness and adaptation in this direction is of particular importance.

Ivo is fluent in English, speaks Russian and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
